<p>In addition, this application offers several exclusive features specifically designed for compatible cameras:</p>

  <li><em>Acquire location information and add it to camera images:</em> By syncing with a smartphone, users can easily add location information to their camera images, enhancing their metadata.</li>
  <li><em>Switch to a Wi-Fi connection from Bluetooth pairing status:</em> For cameras equipped with Bluetooth capability, the application allows for seamless switching from Bluetooth pairing to a Wi-Fi connection.</li>
  <li><em>Remote release of the camera shutter via Bluetooth:</em> Users can remotely trigger their camera shutter using a Bluetooth connection.</li>
  <li><em>Transfer the latest firmware:</em> Canon Camera Connect ensures that users can effortlessly update their camera firmware by enabling them to transfer the latest firmware directly via the application.</li>

<h2>Bluetooth System Requirement</h2>
<p>In order to establish a Bluetooth connection, your camera must have Bluetooth functionality, and your device must support Bluetooth 4.0 or later (including support for Bluetooth Low Energy technology).</p>

<h2>Compatible File Types</h2>
<p>The Canon Camera Connect application supports the following file types:</p>
<ul>
  <li>JPEG</li>
  <li>MP4</li>
  <li>MOV</li>
  <li>CR3</li>
  <li>CR2</li>
</ul>

<p>Raw format (CR3/CR2) images can be imported as RAW format by selecting [RAW image save format] &gt; [RAW format] from the [Images on camera] setting while connected to a compatible model (requires iOS 12.1 or later for CR3).</p>

<p>Importing RAW format (.CR2) images is possible with wireless compatible EOS models and select PowerShot models (G1 X Mark III / G9 X Mark II / G7 X Mark II).</p>

<p>Raw (CR2/CR3) images are resized and imported into JPEG format by selecting [RAW image save format] &gt; [JPEG format]. However, RAW burst files cannot be imported to smart devices. Users must extract the CR3 images from the RAW burst file on the camera side before importing them to their smart devices.</p>

<p>HEIF (10-bit) files captured with compatible cameras and RAW images shot with [HDR PQ settings] enabled cannot be imported. However, they can be saved between apps using the linked mode with the Canon image editing app, Canon DPP Express. Additionally, MOV files and 8K movie files captured with EOS cameras cannot be saved, nor can RAW movie files shot with compatible cameras or AVCHD files shot with a camcorder.</p>

<h2>Important Notes</h2>
<ul>
  <li>If the application does not operate properly, try closing it and restarting.</li>
  <li>Continued use of GPS running in the background can significantly decrease battery life.</li>
  <li>If you are using a Power Zoom Adapter, please ensure that the Live View function is turned on.</li>
  <li>Take caution as the images captured with this application may contain personal information, such as GPS data. Be mindful when sharing these images online where others may have access to them.</li>
</ul>
